Meet Your Coaches Angie and Emily

Angie and Emily are our names, and playing Scentwork is our game! We specialize in the Scent work dog sport and our mission is to help you build your skills so you can reach your Sniffy goals while increasing your joyful moments with your dog.

We began our dog training careers in behavior work using methods that prioritize Welfare for both ends of the leash. We both came to Scentwork as fun enrichment for us and our dogs, fell in love with the sport, and stayed because of the fun atmosphere and how many benefits we saw from it. Scentwork became more than just a game: it was joy, connection, trust, and fun all rolled into one activity.

We both trial in Scentwork, have been teaching it for over 5 years, and are continuously amazed at the joy it brings us and our dogs as we work together. From the start, it’s been an amazing activity for us and our dogs and our students, too.

But we also know that other things often happen at the start, like uncertainty on what training to do, what gear, and more. We lived it, too. How to begin? We see a pattern in a lot of new teams: it was hard to figure out how to start, or their classes didn’t cover venues, or premiums, or other necessary (but confusing) information. They had to search on their own, where direction is low and the internet is vast.

We started Paws and Sniff to turn that confusion and uncertainty into confidence right from the start. From how to build up your skills to how to choose a venue and sign up, level up, and more. We love seeing teams succeed, and want to be the one stop sniff shop that helps you reach your scentwork goals.

If you are looking for a fun, encouraging, and supportive community that turns uncertainty into confidence, join our waitlist today to get started!
